Patrol Sergeant Matthew French
Sgt. Matthew French began his career as a part-time police officer for the Town of Henniker in 1992. He was appointed to the position of full time police officer in 1995. Sgt. French was promoted to his current position as a Patrol Sergeant in June of 2004. On June 1, 2009 Sgt. French assumed the position of second in command of the police department.

Sgt. French is the departments Defensive Tactics Instructor, Expandable Baton Instructor, Portable Breath Testing instructor and Defensive Driving Instructor. He is also certified to conduct Physical Fitness testing.

Sergeant French is currently assigned within the department to the Accident Investigation Team, Major Crime Scene Team, Bicycle Patrol and is a Field Training Officer program supervisor.

On November 2, 2007 Sgt. French graduated from the Command Training Series-Mid Management Course held at Roger Williams University in Rhode Island.

Sgt. French was recently certified as a Rape Aggression Defense (R.A.D.) instructor.
