Officer Stephen Dennis
Officer Stephen Dennis started his career with the Henniker Police Department as a part-time police officer in September of 2001. He was appointed to a full time position on September 12, 2004.

Officer Dennis was previously employed as a youth councilor and later a unit supervisor for the State of New Hampshire Youth Detention Service Unit in Concord. He attended the New Hampshire Juvenile Justice Academy.

Officer Dennis holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice from Franklin Pierce College.

Officer Dennis is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, and the NH Army National Guard. He was deployed to Cuba in 2003 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.

Officer Dennis is a member of the Henniker Police Department color guard, and is a department photographer. He is in charge of the vehicle maintenance program and is a physical ability examiner. He is also an American Red Cross First Aid, Adult/Infant CPR and Defibulator Instructor. Officer Dennis was certified as a bicycle patrol officer in 2007.

Officer Dennis is a firearms instructor for the department, and recently was certified as a Drug Recognition Expert.

November 2007 Off. Dennis attended training in New Jersey put on by Triple Canopy and received certification as an Active Shooter Instructor.

In August of 2009 Officer Dennis completed training and is a Drug Recognition Expert.
